The Little Tokyo Library Quilters’ annual Quilt Show will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, from noon to 4 p.m. at Union Church, San Pedro and Third streets in Little Tokyo.

Limited free parking will be available during the show.

This year’s fully reversible raffle quilt, “Pinwheels,” is composed of colorful Japanese prints on one side. The other side is a lovely salmon-colored traditional print. The raffle quilt will be on display together with many others that the Quilters have created throughout the past year.

Although only a few of the quilts will be for sale, several gorgeous Japanese-motif wall hangings will be available for purchase as well as many unique Asian boutique items and T-shirts that would make wonderful gifts.

Quilt raffle tickets will be on sale for $2 each or three for $5 at the show. Tickets can also be purchased from any of the Quilters or Friends of the Little Tokyo Branch Library board members. All proceeds will be donated to the library for vital programs and materials not covered in the library’s budget.

The Quilters meet on the second and fourth Friday of each month from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Little Tokyo Branch Library, Los Angeles and Second streets, where they work on the Raffle Quilt, share their latest creations, and exchange quilting ideas. For more information, call (323) 664-0554.
