Akiko Higashi (86) passed away on Sept. 10, 2014 in Norwalk, Calif. She is survived by her husband, Minori Higashi; children, Sandra (Ronald) Pinette, Carole (Thomas) Ray, and John Higashi; grandchildren, Marisa and Andrew Pinette, and Mary and Helen Ray; siblings, Kazu (Tsuki), Mamoru (Marilyn) and Masa (Janet) Inouye, and Natsu (Ted) Teshima; brother-in-law, George Wong; sister-in-law, Kay Oshima; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. at Anaheim Japanese Free Methodist Church, 1001 N. Mayflower St., Anaheim.
