Kaname Nakamura passed away peacefully at home in San Marcos, CA on Aug 20th. He leaves behind his wife of 72 years, Haruko, one child, Eiko Jean Mohr, an older brother, Tasuku of Shingu, Japan, and many other relatives in Japan, California, Hawaii and Seattle.
Kaname was born June 3, 1919 in San Diego and spent much of his younger years in Japan but returned as a young man and settled in Los Angeles, where he met Haruko. He lived in Los Angeles until he moved to San Marcos to live with his daughter due to failing health.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept 12, at 1 p.m. at Eternal Hills memorial park in Oceanside, CA.
