A talk on safely surrendering a baby, including information on adoption, will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Little Tokyo Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, 203 S. Los Angeles St. (at Second Street).

Ron Burke from the L.A. County of Department of Child and Family Services will discuss what the law allows and requires, resources for women and families at risk of abandoning their babies, how you can inform others of the law, and how you as a Good Samaritan can assist in the process.

Since the Safely Surrendered Baby Law went into effect, over 120 babies have been surrendered and welcomed into loving homes.

This is a free presentation and parking is free in the Paragon Parking Lot south of the library.
