SOUTH SAN GABRIEL — The 2014 Autumn Moon Festival will be held at Gedatsu Church USA, 7850 Hill Dr., South San Gabriel, on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sponsored by Gedatsu Church USA, Gedatsu USA Kendo and Monterey Park Mustangs Basketball Organization, the festival will feature food (including the church’s famous huli-huli chicken), games, low-cost rummage and plant sales, a farmer’s market (sponsored by Mark Keppel High School Class of 2015), cultural demonstrations, entertainment, and a raffle drawing.
The Crafts Faire will showcase vendors selling handmade Asian American crafts, including jewelry, ornaments, gift baskets, dolls, wreaths, teacher’s gifts, clothing, personalized items, baked goods, holiday crafts, ceramics and more.
Church introduction and tours, hosted by Deacon Jackson Ito, will be given both days at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Meet inside the main chapel.
