A private funeral service for Fumi Ikeji, 95-year-old, Pacific Beach, Calif.-born Kibei Nisei, who passed away on Sept. 27, 2014 in Los Angeles, was held on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at Kubota Nikkei Mortuary, with Rev. Shumyo Kojima from Zenshuji Soto Mission officiating.

She is survived by her children, George Toshikazu (Yukiko) Ikeji, Elaine Hideko (Kenny) Kinjo, Susan Yoshiko (Bob) Batistic, and Marion Reiko (Scott) Shiroma; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; also survived by many relatives in the U.S. and Japan.
