SAN FRANCISCO — The 11th annual Japanese American Religious Federation Curry Cook-Off will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Christ United Presbyterian Church
, 1700 Sutter St. (at Laguna Street) in San Francisco Japantown.
Curry categories: general or vegetarian. Prizes are given for People’s Choice ($100), Judges’ Choice ($50) and Best Vegetarian.
To enter your curry, or purchase tickets, contact Rev. Rodney Yano at (415) 517-1214 or rodoknee@hotmail.com. Each Curry Cook-Off contestant will receive $30 to help subsidize expenses.
There will also be a benefit raffle. Suggested donation: $15 per person. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Nichi Bei Foundation.
