Carol Ota, who had been missing since Nov. 7, was found unharmed Sunday night at Los Angeles International Airport, according to her sister Irene.
The sister said Monday morning that Ota, 49, was at the terminal but was not trying to book a flight.
Ota disappeared after being seen on the 12000 block of Juniette Street in Los Angeles. She left her cell phone and medication for bipolar disorder but took her car, a 2008 Mazda3. Flyers with her photo were distributed and the LAPD asked for the public’s help in finding her.
Irene Ota said last Friday that her sister was believed to be in the area since her credit card had been used at restaurants in Culver City and Marina Del Rey, and a McDonald’s employee reported seeing her.
