Funeral services for the late Mrs. Akiko Maruko, 85-year-old, Sapporo, Japan-born resident of Orange, Calif., who passed away peacefully on Dec. 5, 2014, were held privately on Sunday, Dec. 21 at Orange County Buddhist Church.
She is survived by her loving family; daughters, Vivian (Franklin) Wisdom of Washington and Evelyn Maruko; granddaughters, Alexandra and Monica Wisdom of Washington; sister, Yoshiko Yamaguchi of Tokyo, Japan; brother, Kenzo (Fukiko) Wakamatsu of Japan; sister-in-law, Taeko Wakamatsu; nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
