Funeral services for the late Mr. Kiyoshi Maruyama, 94, Los Angeles-born Nisei, and resident of Monterey Park, who was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, passed away peacefully on Nov. 22 at The Hollenbeck Palms.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Fumiko Maruyama, and sister, Yuriko Adachi.
He is survived by his loving family: son, Mark S. Maruyama; granddaughter, Hope F. Maruyama; longtime companion, My Pham; nephews, David (Hunran) and John (Jane) Adachi; niece, Margaret Adachi; grandnephew, Joseph Adachi; grandniece, Jennifer Adachi; and many other relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 12, from 10 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles. The family requests that in lieu of flowers please make donations to Keiro Senior HealthCare, 325 S. Boyle Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90033.
