William Minoru Takata, 88, Los Angeles-born Nisei veteran of WWII, resident of Pasadena passed away peacefully on Nov. 18, 2014.
He is survived by his loving family: wife, June Takata; daughter, Kristine Narasaki; sons, Stanley (Cathie) Takata and Russell (Vickie) Takata; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Francis Okazaki and Marjorie (Akira) Yamasaki of New York; and extended family members.
Private family funeral services were held at sea on Dec. 6, 2014 in San Pedro, with Rev. Cory Ishida of Evergreen Baptist Church San Gabriel Valley officiating.
