Funeral service for the late Jimmy Teruo Iwamoto, 82-year-old, Oregon-born resident of Monterey Park, who passed away on Dec. 25, 2014, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 3, 4 p.m. at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. First St., Los Angeles.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Rumiko Iwamoto; son, Ray Tatsuo (Janice Eiko) Iwamoto; daughter, Sharlene Terumi (Mark) Hirai; grandchildren, Brooke Kimiko and Ryan Akira Iwamoto, Matthew Takashi and Mitchell Seiji Hirai; sisters, Chiyo Yamasaki of Japan and Hideko Ochi of Los Angeles; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
