Kayoko Ochi, long time resident of San Diego, passed away on Jan. 6 at a board and care facility in Cerritos, Calif. Predeceased by her husband, Kosaburo, and eldest son, Kazuyoshi, she is survived by her children, Nori (Richard) Sugimura, Toki Ochi, Yuki (Marie) Ochi, Emi (Hiroyuki) Ochi and daughter-in-law, Natolie Ochi; grandchildren, Scott (Cindy) Sugimura, Keith and Gregg Sugimura, Erin and Kris Ochi, Michelle Ochi, Kellen Ochi and Ian Kono; great-grandchildren, Isshu and Nanami Sugimura. She is also survived by her sister, Setsuko Kawauchi, sister-in-law, Asako Miki, and many nieces and nephews.
She was loved by all who met her and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Buddhist Temple of San Diego, 2929 Market St., SD 92102.
