The Producers Guild of America on Monday announced its nominees for the PGA Awards, which will be presented on Jan. 24 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza.

Movies nominated for the top prize, the Darryl F. Zanuck Award, are “American Sniper,” “Birdman,” “Boyhood,” “Foxcatcher,” “Gone Girl,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “The Imitation Game,” “Nightcrawler,” “The Theory of Everything” and “Whiplash.”

In the animated film category, the nominees are “Big Hero 6,” “The Book of Life,” “The Boxtrolls,” “How to Train Your Dragon 2” and “The LEGO Movie.” David Bleiman Ichioka is one of the producers of “The Boxtrolls.”

Up for TV movie/miniseries awards are “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” “Fargo,” “The Normal Heart,” “The Roosevelts: An Intimate History” and “Sherlock.”

Individual nominees include the following:

Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Drama — Cary Joji Fukunaga, one of the producers of “True Detective.” (Producers also included series stars Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey.) Also nominated: “Breaking Bad,” “Downton Abbey,” “Game of Thrones,” “House of Cards.”

Fukunaga won an Emmy for Outstanding Directing of a Drama Series last year for Season 1 of “True Detective.” For Season 2, he will only be an executive director.

Danny Thomas Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Comedy — Faye Oshima Belyeu, one of the producers of “The Big Bang Theory.” Also nominated: “Louie,” “Modern Family,” “Orange Is the New Black,” “Veep.”

Belyeu’s other TV credits include “Courting Alex,” “I’m with Her,” “In-Laws,” “Titus,” and “Caroline in the City.”

Award for Outstanding Producer of Non-Fiction Television — Junko Tsunashima, one of the producers of “American Masters.” Also nominated: “30 for 30,” “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,” “Cosmos: A Space Time Odyssey,” “Shark Tank.”

F0r “American Masters,” Tsunashima was supervising producer of “Dorothea Lange: Grab a Hunk of Lightning” and coordinating producer of “Billie Jean King” and “Inventing David Geffen.” For “P.O.V.,” she was supervising producer of “Patti Smith: Dream of Life.” Her other PBS credits include “Great Performances.”
