Robert “Bob” Kinoshita, 100 years old, of Torrance, Calif., passed away on Dec. 9, 2014.

As requested, a private burial was held at Green Hills Mortuary on Dec. 23, 2014.

He was born March 1, 1914 in downtown Los Angeles. He was best known as the father/creator/designer of Robby the Robot (“Forbidden Planet”) and B9 Robot (“Lost in Space”). Bob was a bowler on the regular leagues at Gardena Bowl, until his stroke in 2009, taking him out of the running for being the oldest 300 gamer.
