Mrs. Sachiko Tengan, 94, Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii-born resident of Whittier, passed away peacefully on Dec. 21, 2014 at Keiro Nursing Home.
She is survived by her family: daughters, Diane Mihara and Aiko Tokunaga; grandchildren, Siobhan (Terry) Miura, Nichole (Greg) Harrison, Mitchell (Toni) Mihara, Kirk-Ken Mihara, Tatia (Nathan) Oshidari, and Ken Tokunaga; brothers, Tetsuo (Masayo) and Mitsuo (Carol) Yabiku of Hawaii; sister, Yaeko (Ronnie) Fukuoka; cousin, Kazumi (Kimiko) Arakaki; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and relatives in California, Hawaii, Pennsylvania and Okinawa.
Private family memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17 at Rose Hills Mortuary Chapel, with Rev. Alfred Tsuyuki of Konko Church of Los Angeles officiating.
