A funeral service for Masaru “Bob” Nakagiri, 87-year-old, Los Angeles-born Nisei, U.S. Army veteran, who passed away on Feb. 14, 2015 in Los Angeles, will be held on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 12371 Braddock Ave., Culver City, with Rev. John Iwohara from Gardena Buddhist Church officiating.

He is survived by his children, Susan and Kirk Nakagiri; siblings, Shigemi (Donna) Nakagiri, Minako Jane Shintani, and June Sueko (Jim) Akioka; brothers-in-law, Mitsuo, Jiro, Frank (Hideko), and Hiroshi (Sumako), Tadashi Roy, and Isamu Rick Tsushima; sisters-in-law, Tomiye Mary Nakagiri and May (Keigo) Obata; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
