Jan. 29, 1920 – Feb. 25, 2015

Chiyoko Sally Minato, 95, Kingsburg-born Nisei, West L.A. resident, peacefully passed away at her home on Feb. 25. Viewing on Sunday, March 8, from 12 to 5 p.m. at Inglewood Cemetery Mortuary. A private service will be held on Monday, March 9.

Predeceased by her husband, Joe (1975), she is survived by her sons: Lance, Stan, and Curtis; daughters: Linda Sorita (Burnett), Darlene Buxton (Victor); grandchildren: Sean, Taylor and Cameron Sorita, Victoria Pacheco (Tim), Michelle Marquez, Alex (Martina), Stephanie and Brittany Buxton, plus 4 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mary Yamagiwa of Reedley and Jean Teraoka (Henry) of Kingsburg; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
