The cherry blossom trees at South Coast Botanic Garden on the Palos Verdes Peninsula are already looking spectacular, and this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. the garden will be celebrating their beauty and offering a full day of Japanese cultural activities in partnership with the Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute.

South Coast Botanic Garden is located at 26300 Crenshaw Blvd.

Feel free to bring some food, blankets and chairs and have your picnic under the Cherry Blossoms on the Sakura Meadow and Amphitheater Lawn or on the Upper and Lower Meadows. A self-guided tour and information sheet will be available.

Activities are free with paid admission. Adults: $9; seniors (62 and over): $6; children (5-12): $4; children 4 and under: free. For more information, call (310) 544-1948.
