ALHAMBRA — On April 19 at Almansor Court in Alhambra, the 2015 Ryo and Jean Komae Scholarships were awarded at the Afternoon of Kindness Luncheon hosted by the Asian American Christian Counseling Service (AACCS).

The Komae Scholarships are awarded to help the next generation of Christian counselors with their graduate studies as they train to serve the Asian American community by counseling those who are “brokenhearted and crushed in spirit.”

This year’s recipients are: Grace Ou, a second-year marriage and family therapy student at Fuller Seminary, and Carol Sim, a second-year graduate student at Azusa Pacific University.
