My auntie, Kimiko (Takenaka) Kawasaki, passed on, on Thursday, April 23, at 12:30 p.m.
I feel there were a couple signs by which she was letting us know that she was ready to transition.
Auntie Kimi and the family really appreciated your publishing the tribute to her in the April 18 issue.
I am very grateful to the Rafu Shimpo staff, the Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute, and Tim Toyama for my having been able to share Auntie Kimi’s life with the community.
