Funeral service for Sumiye Kajikawa, 92-year-old, Seattle, Wash.-born resident of Torrance who passed away on April 4, 2015 at her residence, will be held on Saturday, April 11
, at 10 a.m. at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena.
She is survived by her husband, Sadao “Sam” Kajikawa; daughters, Akemi (Frank) Giovinazzo and Frances (Harry) Fleming; son, Norman (Barbara) Kajikawa; grandchildren, Nicole Giovinazzo, Courtney (Brandon) Oshiro, Kristen Kajikawa, Matthew Kajikawa and Nicholas Wong; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Ben Yamamoto; brother-in-law, Tadashi Kajikawa; sister-in-law, Florence Kajikawa; sisters-in-law in Japan, Harue Yamada and Chieko Matsuo; many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
