A funeral service for Sumiko Kusumi, 88-year-old, Los Angeles-born Nisei, who passed away on April 30, 2015 in Chatsworth, will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary, 911 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles, CA.

She is survived by her sons, Chris, Dave (Rowena) and Glenn (Emi) Kusumi; daughter, Robin (Rickey) Shindo; grandchildren, Joseph, Randi, Jaymar and Lucas Kusumi, and Brandon and Bobby Shindo; two great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Collin Kusumi; brother, Minoru (Nancy) Shigezane; sister, Yuriko Fukui; sisters-in-law, Amy Nagata, Eji Hori, and Emi Shigezane; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
