Ted Teruo Wada, 96, born in Redlands, Calif. on Feb. 17, 1919, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on May 23, 2015 at the Veterans Home of California-Chula Vista, a decorated WWII veteran of K Co., 442nd RCT and the Korean War.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Marumoto; brothers, Frank, Henry (Doris), Robert; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Tamakichi and Akiyo Wada; brother, Jack; and sisters, Fumiko Togino, Bessie Doiguchi and Helen Nakayama.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 1 p.m. in the Veterans Home of California, 700 E. Naples Court, Building F, Chula Vista, CA 91911. Reception will follow after the service. Interment will be held on June 22, 2015 at 1 p.m. the Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego.
