Mrs. Yoshie Hirata, 85, passed away on May 18, 2015 at Keiro Nursing Home in Los Angeles. She is survived by her niece, Nahomi Ishimoto of Japan; her brother-in-law, Yoshiaki Hirata; and other relatives in Japan. She has many friends here in Los Angeles.
Her visitation was held on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden.”
The Downtown Los Angeles Chapter of the Japanese American Citizen League and the Japanese Women’s Society of Southern California selected Mrs. Hirata as one of the five 2015 Women of the Year.
