LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha will sponsor the 27th annual Obon Festival on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Cimarron-Memorial High School, 2301 N. Tenaya Way (between Smoke Ranch and Lake Mead Boulevard) off U.S. 95 North in Las Vegas.

Doors open at 11 a.m. Food served at 12 noon. Bento lunches ($10 prepaid) must be picked up by 2:30 p.m. Last day to order bento is Saturday, Aug. 1.

Also available will be sushi plates, Spam musubi and Japanese desserts. Unclaimed bento will be sold.

Kaminari Taiko and Na Hula Hali’a Aloha will perform. The festival will also feature craft sales and a raffle.

The last dance practice will be held on Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a thank you luncheon, at 4110 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. in North Las Vegas.
