Funeral services for the late Daniel Shohei Kawahara, 96-year-old, Honolulu, Hawaii-born resident of Rowland Heights, who passed away on Aug. 22, 2015, will be held on Friday, Sept. 11, 11 a.m. at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. First St., L.A.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, May H. Kawahara, son, Alan T. Kawahara, and sister, Grace Imura; he is survived by his children, Linda (Craig) Ohira, and Bryan and Steve (Debbie) Kawahara; grandchildren, Meghan (David) Meade and Jeffrey Kawahara; great-grandson, Conner Meade; brothers, Denby (Setsuko), Dwight and Delano (Dawn) Kawahara; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
