Kazuo Kitani passed away on Aug. 6, 2015 peacefully at home at the age of 83 after a long career in retail, community service, and enjoying thousands of his kids’/grandkids’ sporting events.
He is survived by his wife Hatsumi; his sons & their families — Keith (Debbie, Akemi, Ko), Ken (Janet, Kasi, Kylie, Jaymie), and Curtis (Eva, Frank, Kristin, Kimberly); his brother Sus and family; and many nieces, nephews, and relatives. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Pasadena Buddhist Temple. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages making a donation to a deserving children’s charity.
