
GARDENA — The Nikkei Peruvian cooking workshop is coming back to the Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Center by popular demand.
Chef Paulo Asato from PeruSuasions will be teaching how to make various dishes with potatoes on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Nisei Veterans Memorial Hall at GVJCI, 1964 W. 162nd St. in Gardena.
Potatoes are known as one of the staples of Peruvian food. According to some sources, there are roughly 3,800 different types of Peruvian potatoes. In addition to the recipes, you will also learn how to plate them for that perfect dish to bring to the upcoming holiday festivities and parties.
