ANAHEIM — On the weekend of April 9-10, Orange County Buddhist Church will host its annual Hanamatsuri (Flower Festival), a celebration of the birth of Buddha, with food, music, games, crafts and cultural exhibits.

The two-day event is filled with Japanese culture. There will be demonstrations of aikido, kendo, karate, katana (swords), bonsai, taiko drum performances, and many other performances and exhibits. Food will be a big part of the festivities. There will be chirashi sushi, makisushi, Spam musubi, chicken and beef teriyaki, teriyaki burgers, chow mein, won ton, udon, oden, grilled squid, Okinawa dango, Imagawayaki and other delicacies.
