MONTEBELLO — The Japanese Chamber of Commerce Foundation will present the 2016 Jokun Recognition Community Luncheon on Sunday, July 10, at the Quiet Cannon, 901 N. Via San Clemente in Montebello.
Reception at 10 a.m.; ceremony at 11 a.m.; luncheon at 12 p.m.
Over the past year, five outstanding Southern Californians were bestowed the Kunsho medal decoration by the government of Japan for their community service and contributions to U.S.-Japan relations. This luncheon is an opportunity to celebrate their achievements with family and friends.
This year’s honorees are Terry Hara (fall 2015), Kelly Moeur (fall 2015), James Folsom (spring 2016), Alan Nishio (spring 2016), and Yasuo Kumoda (spring 2016).
