tim dang dayThe Los Angeles City Council on June 14 proclaimed Tim Dang Day in the City of Los Angeles in honor of East West Players Producing Artistic Director Tim Dang for his dedicated service to the Asian Pacific American theater company, live theater in general, and the collaboration with the Los Angeles LGBT Center during the current production of “La Cage aux Folles,” which closes June 26. The musical is EWP’s top-grossing show of all time, allowing Dang to leave on a high note after 23 years at the helm. (Sunday, June 26 matinee is sold out.) Special guests are Alec Mapa and Amy Hill (June 22), Randall Park (June 23), Rachel Bloom (June 24), Suzy Nakamura (June 25), John Cho and Kerri Higuchi (June 26).
