The Go For Broke National Education Center (GFBNEC) relocated its offices to the Japanese American National Museum’s Historic Building, the former Nishi Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, at First Street and Central Avenue in Little Tokyo.

As part of a grand celebration on May 28, the organization unveiled its groundbreaking new interactive exhibition, “The Defining Courage Experience,” which examines Japanese American military service during World War II as well as the mass incarceration.

Join Mitch Maki, interim president of GFBNEC, on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 2 p.m. for a viewing of “Defining Courage” and a discussion of the organization’s new facilities, the relevance of the temple and its history to GFBNEC’s mission, and plans for the future.
