Mrs. Sumiko Kiyomura, 100-year-old Nagasaki, Japan-born Issei, while surrounded by her loved ones, passed away at Kei Ai Nursing Home Los Angeles on Friday, Sept. 23, 2016.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, Kiyoshi, and her eldest son, Tommy.
She is survived by her beloved children, Henry (Carolyn), Frank (Yukari), Norman (Linda); her beloved grandchildren, Kevin (Kerri), Keith, Roger (Maya), Jayme (Phillip) Chan, Erin (John) Eddow, Ivy (Donnie) Moon, Brad (Cherie), Teresa, Denise, Lisa, Jeffrey, Bryson; her beloved great-grandchildren, Clarissa, Mikaylie, Izzie, Remy, Andrew, Olivia, Kai, Braiden, Alex, Emily, Bishop, Ella; ex-daughters-in-law Diane (Larry) Jung, Sue (Dan) Kato; sister-in-law Kazuko Kiyomura; and many other relatives here and in Japan.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 7:30 p.m. at Mission Valley Free Methodist Church, 1201 S. San Gabriel Blvd., San Gabriel, with the Rev. Philip Sakanashi officiating.
The family respectfully requests no flowers at the service.
