Arthur Mikamo passed away on Oct. 26, 2016 at the age of 89. He was born on Dec. 25, 1926 in Pescadero, Calif., and was a long-time resident of Torrance, Calif. He worked very hard and ran a successful gardening service and plant nursery with his wife for many years. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Edith; son Sidney (Karen) Mikamo; daughters Peggy (James) Buck and Helen Mikamo-Yamasaki (Robert) Yamasaki; grandchildren Courtney, Stephanie, Tiffany, Austin, and Melanie Mikamo; Nyssa, Justin, and Nathan Buck; sister Grace Okuda; and many other relatives in the U.S. and Japan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, 2:30 p.m. at Gardena Buddhist Church, located at 1517 166th St., Gardena, Calif.
