Public funeral services for the late Peter Shin Masai, 86-year-old, Hanford, Calif.-born resident of Long Beach, who passed away on Oct. 29, a few days short of his and Cindy’s 60th wedding anniversary, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10, 1:00 p.m. at Orange County Buddhist Church, 909 S. Dale Ave., Anaheim, Calif.
Public visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 6, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fukui mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles.
Public burial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 11, 11:00 a.m. at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Gate #10 (Cherry Blossom) 3888 Workman Mill Rd., Whittier.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Akiko Masai; children, Daniel Tomie, Michael Tetsuzo (Arlene) Masai, and Judy Masai (Marc) Butsumyo; grandchildren, Brandon Leigh,Victoria Lynn, Rachel Loriann, Sarah Joy, Steven Zachary Masai, and Russell Tadashi Butsumyo; great-grandson,Tyler Andrew Masai; siblings, Florence Michiko Nishi and Chico Chikara (Say Setsuko) Masai; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in NY, CT, and Japan.
