Dennis Kazuo Tsujimoto, 78, a native Californian, suffered a stroke and passed away peacefully on Dec. 7, 2016 at UCI Medical Center. He was born on Aug. 8, 1938 in Oakland, the eldest of 6. After being honorably discharged from the Army and obtaining his degree from Cal Poly Pomona, Dennis began his life-long career with the IRS and retired as an attache to the American Embassy in Tokyo, where he resided for ten years, a post he thoroughly enjoyed. He was a lifelong horse racing enthusiast, antique sports and memorabilia collector and a loyal friend to all.
Dennis is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Shoko; daughters, Wendy Tsujimoto, Lynn Tsujimoto, Laura (Jeff) Wiederkehr; grandchildren, Luna and Oz Wiederkehr; siblings, Stuart (Frances) Tsujimoto, May (Walter) Kitagawa, Nancy (Ed) Yamauchi, Joyce (Ted) Kesterson and Judy (Jackson) Aoki; and many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 11:00 a.m., at Orange County Buddhist Church, 909 S. Dale Ave., Anaheim, CA 92804.
