Funeral services for the late Jun Fukushima, 98-year-old Palm, Calif.-born resident of Cerritos, who passed away on Jan. 9, will be held on Friday, Jan. 20, 11:00 a.m. at Honpa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. 1st St., Los Angeles, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Toshiko Fukushima; children, Dan (Susan) Fukushima, Mae (Ken) Kusumoto, Roy (Jennie) Fukushima, Jay Fukushima and Ken (Grace) Fukushima; grandchildren, Sandra (Bret) Ninomiya, Glenn (Patty) Fukushima, Kristen (Cole) Ramsey, Trina (Daichi) Nakagawa, Samantha Fukushima, Lisa (Todd) Saukkola, Jason Fukushima, Marcus Fukushima, and Jared Fukushima; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Zachary and Madeleine Ninomiya, Ella, Katherine, and Evan Fukushima, Dylan Nakagawa, Emily and Ethan Ramsey; brother, Takeshi (Teiko) Fukushima; sisters-in-law, Eiko Fukushima and Sumiko Taguchi; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives here, in Germany and Japan. Recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal for his service during World War II in the Military Intelligence Service.
