Robert “Bob” Katsumi Fujii

Funeral services for the late Robert “Bob” Katsumi Fujii, 87 years old, will be held on July 8 at 12 p.m. noon at the Buddhist Temple, 1015 E. Montecito Street in Santa Barbara. Born on July 31, 1929 in Santa Barbara, Bob was a 35-year retiree of the Southern Gas Company, internee of Gila River, and long-time resident of Cerritos. In 2014, Bob moved to an assisted living facility, the Heritage House, in Goleta, Calif., where he unexpectedly passed away on June 17, 2017.
He is predeceased by his parents and older brother, Frank Fujii. Bob leaves behind his sister-in-law, Dorothy Fujii; and three nieces, Roberta Cook (Steve), Melanie Fujii, Doreen Sasaki (Glenn); and his two grandnieces, Allie Ester (Chris) and Morgan Cook (fiancee Jonathan Russell).
