Aiko Horikoshi Pease died peacefully with her family by her side in Simi Valley, Calif. at the age of 94. Aiko is survived by her sons, David and Daniel Takahashi; daughter, DeAnn Cary; grandchildren, Jolie, Christine, Katherine, Mark and Luke; great-grandchildren, Rene, Sarah and Berkley; great-great grandchild, Mason. Aiko is preceded in death by her beloved husband Hugh Pease. Aiko was born on Feb. 20, 1923 in Hollywood, Calif. to Rev. Tokujiro Horikoshi and Grace Shelp. Aiko graduated from Belmont High school in 1942 before moving to Simi Valley in 1964.
Her love of playing the piano was a gift to us all. She was always tender, loving and compassionate.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Oct. 30, 2017 at StoneBridge Community Church, 4832 Cochran St., Simi Valley 93065. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Aiko’s life.
