Private graveside service for Shinobu James “Doc” Saito, 94, Los Angeles-born Nisei veteran of World War II and member of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, who passed away on Sept. 26, 2017 in San Pedro, was held on Oct. 5, 2017 at Inglewood Park Cemetery with Rev. Seigo Takayoshi of L.A. Holiness Church officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Yoko Saito; sisters-in-law, Carol Ann Saito, and Natsumi Abe and Terumi Shibuya of Japan; nephews and niece, John, Mark and Jennifer (Brian) Saito; and many other relatives.
