Hiromu Kaichi
December 4, 1928 – January 15, 2018

Hiromu Kaichi, born in Hemet, CA, and a long-time resident of Torrance, passed away peacefully at the age of 89.
Hiromu was a kibei-nisei, born in the United States but raised in Japan. After the war, he returned to the United States and earned both his Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA. Hiromu worked in the aerospace industry for over 40 years. He was the band leader of the Miyako-band, an active member of the Seinan Judo Dojo Koenkai and had a passion for raising Akita-inu.
Hiromu is survived by his family; children, Jeannette (William) Littler, Ronnie (Chrissy) Kaichi, Herbert (Lisa) Kaichi, Eric (Shirley) Kaichi; grandchildren, William, Sachi, Riley, Sayo Littler; Misa and Kacy Kaichi; Cammi (Brice) Rudat; Ariana (Kane) Leonard; Kaelyn and Keaton Kaichi; Kyle, Andrew and Hallie Kaichi; brother, Sakae Kaichi. Hiromu was pre-deceased by his spouse, Noriko Kaichi and his sister Misato Fujii. Private funeral services and burial.
