Anthony “Tony” Norie Hiraoka
November 18, 1927 – January 24, 2018
Tony was born November 18, 1927 in Acampo, California, and passed away January 24, 2018 with family by his side. He was pre-deceased by his sister Mary Agnes Kanow and their parents Naotaro and Nakayo Hiraoka.
A longtime resident of Monterey Park, Tony is survived by Tsuyako Dorothy “Truckie” Hiraoka, his beloved wife of 66 years, and daughters Janet (Steve) Yamanaka, Janice (David) Levasheff, and Juli (Grant) Nakagawa, grandchildren Peter (Shizuka) and Mari Levasheff, Tiffany (Eric Sellers) and Jason Nakagawa, numerous friends and family, and his “granddog” Blue. He will truly be missed.
A graveside service will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Gate 10, on Monday, February 12, 2018, at 11:00AM. Comfortable, dressy casual attire (even Hawaiian shirts and baseball caps) is welcome…Dad would want it that way.
