Husband, father and grandfather Franklin Yusuke Hino passed away peacefully on Jan. 20, 2018 at the age of 83.
Born in Honolulu, Frank served as a Marine, worked as a technical writer for aerospace, and enjoyed fishing and baseball. He kept busy with family and friends, and finally found time to rest.
Frank is preceded in death by his first wife, Eunice Mieko Hino. He is survived by his wife, Emi Shimoyama Hino; his three sons: Michael (Alejandra) Hino, Howard (Ursula) Hino, Rob (Nina) Hino; his stepson, Todd Shimoyama, and his stepdaughter, Suzi (Tadashi Moody) Shimoyama; seven grandchildren: Alex Hino, Alberto Hino, Michelle Hino, Kayleen Hino, Derek Hino, Ryan Hino, Kiyomi Moody; and many other ohana.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Feb. 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 W. 158th St., Gardena, CA 90247.
Dress is casual or aloha attire.
