Colette Isawa - Rafu Shimpo

Colette Isawa, an 85-year-old Norwalk, Conn.-born resident of Torrance, passed away on Jan. 11, 2018. Colette and her twin sister, Claudette, pursued careers in the nursing field in Connecticut. After World War II, Colette met and married Mr. Jack Isawa. Colette and Jack moved to the West Coast and settled in Torrance, where she continued working in the medical field assisting prominent physicians in the South Bay Area, until her retirement in 2001. She was active in the South Bay Japanese American Citizens League, serving on the Scholarship Committee.

Survived by her beloved husband, Jack; daughter, Tracy (Greg) Ahn; grandsons Garrett and Daniel Ahn; twin sister, Claudette. Also survived by many other family members.
