A private funeral service for Edward “Eddie” Katsuhiko Shimasaki, 76 year-old, Veteran of the Korean Conflict, Hollywood, CA-born Kibei-Sansei, who passed away on February 15, 2018 in Los Angeles, was held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Chapel of Chimes at Inglewood Park Cemetery, officiated by a minister representing the Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel Keiko Shimasaki; children, Nolan Makoto (Arlene), David Yutaka (Ronnie) and Trina Kaori Shimasaki; siblings, Teruko Kitahara, Steven (Yoshiko) Shimasaki, Noriyo (Hiroshi) Kuwabara; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
