Yukiyo “Yuk” Nakamura, an 87-year-old Los Angeles, Calif.-born Nisei resident of Carson and a former internee of Rowher Relocation Camp during World War II who honorably served in the U.S. Army, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2018.

Yuk is survived by his son, Steven; daughter, Debra (James) Ichien; stepson, Sam Harada; grandchildren, Cheryl (Ed), Candice, Lauren, Blake, Derek, Kevin and Torey; great-grandchild, Miriya; brother, Toshio (Etsuko) Nakamura. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service was held on Friday, June 22, 2018, 11:30 a.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park Chapel, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275, officiated by Pastor Annette Kakimoto of Gardena Valley Baptist Church.
