A funeral service for Chieko Iida, 90-year-old Lompoc, CA born Nisei, resident of Sylmar, retired social worker, who passed away on August 30, 2018 will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 1:00 PM at San Fernando Valley Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 9450 Remick Ave., Pacoima, CA 91331.
Chieko was preceded in death by her loving husband Ted Iida; siblings, George, Jeff, Koji, and Kazuko Fukawa.
Beloved mother of Lorraine Iida (Keith Fudenna), Douglas (Chris) Iida, Calvin Iida, and Robert Iida (Diana Mausser); grandmother of Nicole, Bryan, Kevin, and Drew Iida; sister-in-law of Kazumi Fukawa, David (Kazuko) Iida, Hide Yamada, George (Dorothy) Iida, Nancy Iida, and Helen Oshiro. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In lieu of koden, donations can be made in Chieko’s memory to a charity of your choice.
