A memorial service for Kazuo Shinzato, 81-year-old, Los Angeles-born Nisei, who passed away on Aug. 24, 2018 in La Palma, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Cerritos Baptist Church, 11947 Del Amo Blvd., Cerritos. Family requests that flowers be omitted.
He is survived by his children, Vicki (Dr. Paul) Shinto, Miles (Leti) Yokota, Robin (Mark) Wittenberg of San Diego, Calif., John (Helery) Shinzato of San Ramon, Calif.; grandchildren, Lauren (Dr. Ziad) Dahdul, Todd and Hunter Shinto, Brett (Dr. Jackie), Michelle, Jennifer Yokota, Tyler and Ryan Wittenberg, both of San Diego, Calif., and Kendall Shinzato of San Ramon, Calif.; siblings, Alyce (John) Cha, Gracey Kono and Keiko Omori; sister-in-law, Erni (Jun) Arai of Honolulu, Hawaii; brother-in-law, Steven (Leslie) Kodama of Berkeley, Calif.; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
