Toshiaki “Don” Okumoto, 87, passed away on Sept. 10, 2018 due to Alzheimer’s disease. Don was born in Los Angeles on June 14, 1931, grew up in Hiroshima, returned to L.A. in 1950 where he met Youko and married in 1952.
Predeceased by his wife Youko Okumoto and his brothers Akio Okumoto and Toshio Okumoto. Survived by his daughters Mariko Okumoto and Akiko Okumoto, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral service on Sept. 23 at 1:30 p.m., Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena, CA.
